There are many ways you can build a beautiful sunrooom for your home.  We would like to highlight a few key areas that often get overlooked when making a decision about style, size, layout, etc.

Door Placement:  Believe it or not, placing the door on the sunroom is a critical part of the proper function of the room.  For example, if you place a door in the middle of the front wall, the traffic pattern has effectively cut your room in half.  Not only that, you will take away from the beauty of a nice clean uniform view out the front of your room.  However, if you place the door closest to the house wall on either the left or right wall of the sunroom you will creat and almost flat line against the back of the home for people to walk through.  The result of this will be a much better utilization of space.

Picking a Style:  We often recommend that you try to find the most bang for your buck while purchasing a sunroom.  Keep in mind that although a Cathedral style will add tall cielings, a Studio style will give you the same functionality in almost every case and typically will be about 20% cheaper.  Trust us, you'll use the sunroom regardless of the style you choose, it will be your favorite place in the house.  It really doesn't matter what style it is from the outside, as long as it matches your home.

Purchasing:  Although we are not directly affiliated with any sunroom installer, we do have some recommendations that makes the process easy for you and them on both ends of the table.  One of the biggest myths that circulates is that you have to obtain 3 quotes to make a "smart" decision.  But we can promise you that all it will end up doing is frustrating you as you go through the sales process.  No one product is created equal, so it is very hard to compare apples to apples.  By all means you need to shop around, but if you have someone out the first night and absolutely love the product, and the price, purchase the sunroom.  We have found over the years that customers that purchased when they knew they had found what they wanted were the happiest, and most of the time, it was the first person they called.
